This is apparently a repeat of an old bug (347392) – everytime I use mozilla minimo this weird problem occurs after where the on screen keyboard appears over the softkeys. Once done, all applications have the same problem whether or not Minimo continues to run. The only way to resolve this is to push the device's reset button. This is with a Mio P550 WM 5 device.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Happens NEARLY every time:
1. Turn on the unit ('cold' start after a RESET).
2. Start and use Minimo
3. Once the on-screen keyboard is used, the keyboard positions itself at the bottom of the screen, covering the softkeys (including softkey 'escape' softkey) on all other applications (mobile Excel, Word, etc.) which renders the unit unuseable until the device has been given a 'hard' reset and restart. Since Minimo repositions the softkeys ABOVE the on-screen keyboard, it remains the only useable application!
Actual Results:
on-screen keyboard cannot be turned off, because it has covered the softkeys (at the bottom of the screen) that would perform this function. Applications are rendered unusable.
Expected Results:
on-screen keyboard should continue to appear with the bottom edge above the row of softkeys at the bottom of the screen.

minimo component is now closed and the minimo project isn't going to be supported. New work has started on a new mobile effort. Please see schrep's posting for more info. We hope you will be involved.
