Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3

The Extension Manager does not seem to be able to recover from accidental double-clicks during extension installs.

For example, Mozilla's AddOns site has many extension Install Now buttons, clicking once will install that linked extension's .XPI file into Firefox, double-clicking that link button will cause two same installs to cue up, ~90% of the time choosing to install the 1st and choosing to Cancel the 2nd will install the 1st and crash to desktop after choosing to Cancel the 2nd install of the redundant .XPI file.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Double-click on an extension file or link.
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Resolving the issue causes crashes to desktop most of the time.

Expected Results:
Canceling the redundant extension installs would clear the cue of installations and the user would be in control of the Extension Manager.

I tested various combinations of install & cancel and wait timings, ~90% of the time FF crashes.
