Apologies if I get this request wrong, this is the first time I've had to do it :)

In preparation for the thunderbird 2.0.0.4 release, we'll want to copy everything in:

AB-CD/thunderbird/2.0.0.0/*.*
into
AB-CD/thunderbird/2.0.0.4/*.*

I think that's what we are doing for the firefox releases now already.
OS: Windows Vista → All
Hardware: PC → All

Hi guys, can I get an ETA on when this will happen? We've got 2.0.0.4 candidate builds in hand and the start page is loading the "We’re sorry, but we can’t find what you’re looking for." for everyone.

Thanks!

(I'd mark this as a blocker for tb2.0.0.4 but have a flag in this component to do that).

Reed: can you take this?

some of the european languages have a releasenotes folder with a redirect to the release notes on mozilla europe, the version number in these urls should be updated with the copy like:

<?php
    header("Location: http://www.mozilla-europe.org/it/products/thunderbird/2.0.0.4/releasenotes/");
    exit;
?>

Reed, I can create all the locale folders for 2.0.0.4 and add the proper redirects to release notes if it can help you.

I would greatly appreciate it! I'm swamped with work. :(

Please make sure you s/2.0.0.0/2.0.0.4/ before you commit. Firefox 2.0.0.4 had problems because all the locale directories were still referencing 2.0.0.3 instead of 2.0.0.4.

Created attachment 267923 [details]
files committed in revision 4434

Files and folders are created, revision 4434 (see attachment for detailed list).

All redirects to mozilla-europe and mozilla japan point to the 2.0.0.4 folders (to be created). I did not put redirects for release notes to the mozilla china site since I do not know if they intend to host a translation of the document.

Pascal, I'm still not seeing the start page load:

http://en-US.www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/2.0.0.4/start/

Does something else need to be checked in too?

The pages are on svn but need to be tagged for production by someone from mozilla IT to be pushed to the prodution site (that's something I can't do)

additional file to tag for production :

Execute: Commit
Modified: /ko/thunderbird/2.0.0.4/start/index.html
Committed revision 4440.
Updating...

Korean is announced in the release notes as a new supported language, the above changes fixes a bad link on the start page.

CCing Channy to make sure that the korean Thunderbird section linked from the Thunderbird start page is updated in terms of content and download links.

Pascal, how do you usually do this for Firefox point releases as far as when to push these changes live? Now that we have en-us release notes, would you like me to get those pushed live so localizers can see what the release notes look like to help with translations?

The release notes are hosted on Mozilla Europe and Mozilla Japan, I am going to copy them into Mozilla Europe SVN and provide a diff from the previous version to our localizers.

FYI, I filed Bug 384268 to get the 2.0.0.4 product pages tagged for production.
