User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; da; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; da; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 I have searched before posting this and actually found the bug, but Doron claims that it isn't a Fire Fox bug. Truth is, it is! I have followed his/her guildline but it was already de-checked. If I uninstall it, Fire Fox will complain that it is missing and then nothing. To make it even funnier, if I deactivate it, it IS deactivated in both IE6 and Opera, but not Fire Fox! Uninstalling/Reinstalling either (Fire Fox or Quicktime) of them won't do any good! So, I believe it's a bug/problem from YOUR side. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1a. Get Quicktime 2a. Set it to all possible MINE-types (or atleast flash) 2a. Visit a site that contains a flashfile 1b. Uninstall Quicktime 2b. Repeat step 2a Actual Results: First step A it will just fail. For step B one will get a pop up where it says Quicktime is not installed and the element will not be displayed. Expected Results: I had expected flash player to pop up in FF as it does in IE6 and Opera after unsigning Quicktime as flashplayer.

There is an error in my description: Steps to Reproduce: 1a. Get Quicktime 2a. Set it to all possible MINE-types (or atleast flash) 2a. Visit a site that contains a flashfile 1b. Uninstall Quicktime 2b. Repeat step 2a Should be Steps to Reproduce: 1a. Get Quicktime 2a. Set it to all possible MINE-types (or atleast flash) 3a. Visit a site that contains a flashfile 1b. Uninstall Quicktime (you can choose to either un-check the MINE-types before uninstalling but it didn't make any difference in my case) 2b. Repeat step 3a

Still not a firefox bug. Do you even have flash installed? Also, load about:plugins in the browser and tell me what mimetypes quicktime registers for. Also, install the lastest quicktime.

Okay, slight problem here... I have QuickTime Plug-in 7.1.6 (apparently the latest). It turns off/on accordingly to the settings in quicktime. But, I apparently also have QuickTime Plug-in 7.1.5 installed and that is using the flash. I realize it's my problem to get that removed, if I knew how to. After a little search I found this (http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/faqs/flash.html#new-quicktime) page. It didn't help, though. I would still _partly_ blame FF for this, since the other browsers haven't been reacting this way. And yes, I have Flash Player installed, for God sake.

- Load about:config - Set plugin.expose_full_path to true - Load about:plugins - Now it will show you the full path to the .dll - delete it. Most likely the IE ActiveX control for Quicktime isn't set to handle flash. Firefox just does what it's told to.

Great, it was in the plugin folder. And I still think there is a problem on your side. Since the other browsers handles it correctly.
