Submitting an extension with a malformed install.rdf reports "You must have at least one valid Mozilla target application. Please see this page for reference." It should say that the file is malformed lest developers stare blankly at their targetApplications trying to figure out what's wrong. Attached is an extension with a malformed install.rdf. It's missing a closing Description tag.

Justin: Did this error message change, i.e., is the new dev cp distinguishing between a valid but incomplete rdf file as opposed to a malformed one?

I don't think the error message was fixed, but I haven't tested it.

The new validation tool also checks for the validity of install.rdf.
