Currently the MDC opensearch plugin uses the Special:Search wiki search instead of Nutch. This needs to be changed to use Nutch instead.
Bumping to blocker status.
Nutch does not seem to support JSON suggestions. Therefore we seem to have two choices: - Drop suggestion support or - keep fetching the suggestions from Wiki search rather than Nutch. Which one do you prefer?
Can we pull suggestions from the wiki while doing the actual search using Nutch? It's not ideal but it's probably better than dropping suggestions entirely.
Yes, that would work. We should do it like this, then. Due to the problems with developer-test.m.o, the search plugin is unavailable there to test also, though.
Created attachment 292104 [details] [diff] [review] Opensearch plugin to use Special:Nutch This patch changes the opensearch description for MDC, so that it uses Nutch. Please review. (Once I have write access to SVN, I'll even commit it, I promise))

Comment on attachment 292104 [details] [diff] [review] Opensearch plugin to use Special:Nutch Looks good to me.
Excellent. This is committed to SVN r8670, marking "push-needed" and FIXED.
Un-marking push-needed, as MediaWiki has been replaced by Dekiwiki.
