When I move all messages from one folder to another, only a few of them arrive in the new folder, the rest disappears forever. You can most easily notice this from the number of unread messages (which seems to increase by 5 at most).
I love the fact that thunderbird uses the mbox format so I could organize all my mail since 1994... but now I can start all over again since I can't tell how much got lost!
