If you just try to pick the background image without first clearing it and clicking OK, the prior specification will be retained. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new page 2. Format>Background...>Pick an image 3. Save 4. Re-open page in composer 5. Format>Background...>Pick an image 6. Click OK 7. Save page 8. Re-open page 9. Format>Background... 10. You'll see that the last image you picked is not in the image field Actual Results: Retains prior image. Cannot change it until you clear the prior value Expected Results: You should be able to pick a new background image without first having to clear it.
Which product/version are you using ? Can you reproduce with SeaMonkey v1.1.9 ?

Ctrl+4 (Open new Composer) 2. Format > Page Colors and Background... 3. Choose a file, then click OK. 3a. New background is set :-) 4. Format > Page Colors and Background... 5. Choose a file, then click OK. 5a. New background is *not* set: previous remains :-( Unsetting the background works: changing it does not.
