38060 - LXR doesn't pick up "packages-static-win" file because glimpse doesn't index it

If you go to the LXR site and go to Seamonkey and try a search for
charsetdata.properties in the Text Search facility, for some reason, it finds
this string in packages-mac and packages-unix, but not packages-win, even though
that string does occur in there. Also, if you search for the file
charsetData.properties, LXR doesn't find it, even though it exists. I don't know
if these 2 problems are related.

I'm concerned, because I'm wondering what other files are being missed. LXR is
an important tool, and needs to work properly. Thanks for this great tool!

Correction: If you search for the file "packages-win", LXR doesn't find it.

I've tried using find . |glimpseindex -F and that didn't help. I'll report this
upstream...

Bug 356489 has some good testcases in it for this.

As mentioned in the other bug, I can reproduce this right now so it'll be easiest for me to own it probably.

It's quite curious how this seems to work on landfill and not on the production machine, when they're both running the same OS and same version of glimpse.

well, if it's fixed in mxr, then i guess it's fixed... i shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth....
