The search box should be cleared afer submit (IMHO).
This will increase the privacy, (I don't want everybody near my screen knows what I was searching a while ago) an this would also avoid clipboard overwriting problems (if you have selection and clipboard synced).

This is a duplicate of a WONTFIX bug.
I think there may be some sense in making this an option, or there could be an extension made for that.

None of them works with >=2.0.
