381110 - Occasionally Thunderbird can't find the start page

Tools -> Options -> General -> Thunderbird Start Page is set to file:///C:/Profiles/Thunderbird/Eric/TeaHarvest.jpg . Occasionally with either 2.0 or the latest 2.0.0.4pre nightly build it doesn't display the jpeg file when I start Thunderbird. Instead it looks like whats a failed attempt to open the http://en-us.www.mozilla.com/en-US/ web page with an error message that starts with "We’re sorry, but we can’t find what you’re looking for." The top of the page has Mozilla, Products, Add-ons, Support, Developers and About, with a Home>>page not found to the left under "Mozilla".

If I exit and start Thunderbird again it always displays my start page as expected. This is an intermittent problem, I can't repeat it upon demand. 

I've had that setting for over six months. I have never seen that error message with 1.5.0.X or any of the pre-release versions of 2.0. I only get the "We’re sorry, but we can’t find what you’re looking for." message if I'm using 2.0 or later.

When this happens the Config editor still shows mailnews.start_page.url as being set to file:///C:/Profiles/Thunderbird/Eric/TeaHarvest.jpg . By the way I notice 
mailnews.start_page_override.mstone is set to 1.8.1.4pre and flagged as user set. I don't know what that setting is for or when it was created but I didn't set it. I'm only mentioning it because part of the name is start_page_override.

I have 1.5.0.10, 2.0 and 2.0.0.4pre (20070517) installed on the same machine, using the same profile. I'm running under XP Pro SP2. I'm using the Apple Mail 1.1 theme. I think I've also seen this problem when using the Noia 2.0 eXtreme 2.34 theme. I currently have extensions.checkCompatibility set to false and no nightly tester tools extension, other times I've relied upon that extension. I've seen the bug in both cases.

Can't reproduce with trunk 3.0a1pre (2008040204)

Will change for incomplete since it reproducible somtimes, probably more info need. And in my case can't reproduce it
