http://intlstore.mozilla.org/ is only printing this and exiting: Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/stot/public_html/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! Not sure who is running that site, so hopefully someone else knows. :)

I'll start calling people if I don't see any activity on the bug in the next 20 minutes or so. In the meantime I'm going to see if I can come up with a status page that we can put up somewhere and change DNS to point at if you can't get ahold of anyone at the store vendor to fix it. It's been this way for at least the last half hour.
We actually have a maintenance page for the store already with the cavendish-style Mozilla banners on it, but it seems tuned to the US store at the moment. Left voicemail for both marcia and cbeard. Talked to timr, who isn't near a computer to look anything up right now, and thinks marcia or cbeard would be better people to talk to anyway. Not sure who else to call, so guess I'm just waiting for callbacks now.

There is a "closed for maintenance" message live now.
OK, DNS has been pointed at one of our clusters with a maintenance page answering to that URL. I just took out the contact info paragraph since that seemed pretty specific to the US store. cbeard emailed the store contact about 40 minutes ago.

I actually tried that shortly after we found out it was down... and the scripts that generate our nagios configs choke on the fact that the site's reverse-DNS doesn't resolve (when adding a website to check, it looks up the site, and tries to add a service check for each IP address found, but uses the domain name it gets from the reverse-lookup for the hostname, which in this case, didn't exist) intlstore.mozilla.org has address 184.108.40.206 220.127.116.11.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer 18.104.22.168.reverse.coreix.net. Host 22.214.171.124.reverse.coreix.net not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
I suppose it helps if I had copied a forward lookup from before I made the DNS changes :) But the reverse I pasted was the correct one.
I found a way around the host lookups in the generator scripts, nagios checks for the international store are now in place. Something else interesting detected by nagios: their SSL certificate expired back in December. I'm amazed nobody's complained about that yet.
The store is back online.
