http://www.eoddata.com/Download.asp Daily market data downloads. you need a password but its free. Download button shuts down browser. Sometimes I get to the Save to Disk dialog box. Trying to save shuts down browser. Restart browser and try again - always works OK. Had the same problem several times trying to save a web page in PayPal after making a payment.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Get a free password first. Go to http://www.eoddata.com/Download.asp and hit Download button. Might shutdown.
2.If OK, try to save to disk. Then it might shutdown.
3.If it shuts down. Restart browser and try again. Should be no problem now.
Actual Results:
About 1 in 3 times, the bowser will just do a cold snap shutdown.
Expected Results:
obvious
Also happened on PayPal after making a payment. There is an option to display a printable receipt. When I try to save that page as a complete web page, I get a cold snap shutdown. The problem on PayPal is not as frequent as on eoddata.com.
I have experienced this bug too, and I noticed that it mainly happens after running java applets (e.g. at www.goproblems.com). Any file download after that may suddenly kill the browser, usually before opening the save dialog.
Never happened to me in Windows.

Are you still seeing this with recent SeaMonkey versions from http://www.seamonkey-project.org/ ?
It's not happening to me anymore in SeaMonkey 1.8, but instead it dies sometimes when I right-click a flash clip.

That would be a different bug. Search for it (maybe it is already filed), and if you can't find it, file a new bug, if you can describe it clearly enough, with, if possible, "steps to reproduce" and, if you get a crash on a trunk build, a Breakpad crash ID (obtained from about:crashes in SeaMonkey 2.0a1pre).
