I just ran into this on a 2.0.0.3 update from 2.0.0.2. That exe really should be signed and the publisher information should be provided.
I've tagged this for the Software Update component, although this might be something for the build folks.

updater.exe on Firefox 2.0.0.3 is signed by the Mozilla Corporation. Not sure if that was new to 2.0.0.3 over 2.0.0.2 or not, I'm guessing yes.
After you update do you have a signed updater.exe in your Firefox install location?

Hmm, Vista support landed for 2.0.0.2 and I think helper.exe is supposed to take care of elevated privileges and UAC. All the exe's and dll's are signed from about the same time too.
It does matter where you install Firefox though. Is it in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox for you Jim ?

Hey guys - yes the current updater in the program files is signed, so I guess we can close this out. Sorry for the spam. Maybe it was a 2001 -> 2003 update and I just missed the last one? I'll keep an eye on it on the next update.
