Build Date & Platform Bug Found:
win32 commercial seamonkey build 00050412-m16 installed on Dell P500, Win98
macos commercial seamonkey build 00050412-m16 installed on G3/400, MacOS 9.04
linux commercial seamonkey build 00050412-m16 installed on P200, RedHat 6.1

Overview Description:
We allow the user to delete a mail folder and we list the option "Delete
folder" in the Edit menu of Messenger. Once you delete a folder, it expected to
be able to undo the operation and show the option undo the delete option under
the Edit menu. It fails to show the change the menu option for delete to
undelete folder.

This problem occurs under POP and IMAP.

Steps to Reproduce:
0) I removed my previous user50 directory before installing & migrating my
profile.
1) Open Messenger
2) Select a folder
3) Select the Edit menu and choose "Delete Folder"
A confirmation dialog appears asking to confirm operation.
4) Confirm the operation
The folder is moved to the trash folder
5) Select the Edit menu again.
It does not list an undo delete folder option.

Actual Results:
The folder is moved. The edit menu should show a menu option to undo this
operation according to bug 14893

Expected Results:
It should list a "undo delete folder" command.

Additional Builds and Platforms Tested On:

Additional Information:
I'm verifying bug 14893 since it does allow you to perform a undelete message
command.

Wayne: Is this really a dataloss issue? If a folder is deleted, it seems that it is correctly moved to the trash, so no messages are permanently removed yet. You can certainly move the folder back to its original location. The only issue is that hitting "Undo" won't automatically put it back.
I don't clearly remember the logic by which I maked this dataloss. Probably, because undo does not work, that a user may be missled into thinking the data is not recoverable.

Regarding bug 1158497, we tend to WONTFIX bugs that seek to wallpaper over "the real bug", which is this bug.
