Anything I can do to help identify my problem for you technical folks? I'm not really very technical but I'll try. It doesn't offer me Talkback, just Microsoft reporting. Is there a possibility that a fix for bug 377950 will deal with this? I reverted to 20070328 (installation program I have on my desktop ready for a quick revert because of various earlier bugs), then back to 20070529 but it still crashed on startup.
Just downloaded version 3.0a1pre (20070530) using "Help - Check for Updates" and on installing it I no longer get a crash. I'm marking this bug as fixed.

I tried the 20070530 build, both as a separate install, and by installing 20070528 and using "Help - Check for Updates" and got the same crash both times. I've now reverted back to 20070528 for now and it seems stable.
