Installing current trunk SeaMonkey over an older trunk nightly (from February) doesn't seem to delete all files that it should and so can cause startup problems. Files that are no longer there (comparing full installs of 2007-02-05 and 2007-05-29 packages):
   editor.dll
   gfx_os2.dll
   imp4Mail.dll
   impText.dll
   p3p.dll
   defaults\messenger\SpamAssassin.sfd
   defaults\messenger\SpamPal.sfd
   ldap50.dll
   prldap50.dll

I also find that the MOZ_XUL_APP SeaMonkey installer (2007-05-30) doesn't finish at all. I get
Error occurred during installation - Navigator:
   -214 DOES_NOT_EXIST
when trying. I see this
    XPInstall Start
        XPCOM: 0
        Navigator: -214
    XPInstall End
in install_status.log afterwards.

Somehow the patch in attachment 266650 [details] [diff] [review] (bug 382449) seems related...
Bug 386903 removed the installer from under our feet, so this is WONTFIX now.

Perhaps I will find time before long to implement some WarpIn-based solution instead.
