User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 Trying to upload or download a file with accented characters (French) causes them to be stripped or converted to standard ASCII equivalents. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create file named: ÀàÂâÄäÇçÈèÉéÊêËëÎîÏïÔôÖöÛû.txt WITH CONTENT (Preferable accented characters, I used the actual filename as content) 2. Try to FORM Post the file with Firefox, server side received EMPTY file (content not transferred) 3. Use Safari to upload same file as workaround to test download 4. Delete local file. 5. Grab Firefox to download file, Download Mgr window shows correct filename. 6. Click Open in Download Mgr, TextEdit opens empty file with correct filename. 7. Looking at Desktop (Dfl download location) shows 2 files created locally, 1 properly named with no content and 1 with correct content named: ÀàÂâÄäÇçÈèÉéÊêËeEeIiIiOoOoUû̈̈̂̂̈̈̂̂̈̈̂̂.txt (hard to paste gets messed up in box) Actual Results: Wrong Filename Expected Results: Correct Filename Unicode filename from BSD ls (to decipher) Content: A??a??A??a??A??a??C??c??E??e??E??e??E??eEeIiIiOoOoUu??????????????????????????.txt Empty: A??a??A??a??A??a??C??c??E??e??E??e??E??e??E??e??I??i??I??i??O??o??O??o??U??u??.txt
