Confirmed using Thunderbird 2.0.0.0 (20070326)and Lightning 0.5 RC1. Workaround: Thunderbird need restart

Indeed. Restarting Thunderbird does the trick. (With Lightning 0.3.1.)
I'm not sure if it should block calendar 0.5 release. Mini- calendar should work properly snd it doesn't.
Flags: blocking-calendar0.5?
I don't think this needs to block. There is a quite easy workaround.
Ok. But I think at least release note should be created to let people know about workaround.
In my opinion this is neither a blocker bug nor a topic for the release notes. The minimonth still works properly after changing the preference and during restart the preference is correctly applied.
Summary: Calendar in left-view isn't updated → Week start day preference changes not applied to Minimonth until restart
So make a notice at the menu which says something like that you have to restart Thunderbird to have a an effect.
Not blocking, no relnote needed. We will only relnote *severe* problems/bugs.

WFM now with Tb 2.0.0.6 and Lightning 0.7 RC2
Flags: blocking-calendar0.5-
Works for me too using Thunderbird 2.0.0.15pre (2008051204) and Lightning 0.9pre (2008050820).
