383067 - Can't move folder in Bookmarks toolbar overflow menu or drag onto toolbar

Steps to reproduce:

- Load the attached bookmark.html
- Click on the overflow chevron
- In popup click and try to drag the folder to another place

Result: it stays on the same place. Then when you try to drag a bookmark to another place on the toolbar, only an assert message follows (after the second attempt).

Does this only happen with that bookmarks file specifically, or is it a more general problem?

On Mac, if I click on a subfolder in the chevron menu, or a subfolder of any bookmarks toolbar menu, the parent menu immediately collapses, so I can't even get as far as trying to drag. But as far as the failed drag itself goes, I assume it's for the same reason as bug 235244.

I don't see the alerts on mac, but i'm certainly not able to drag a folder from overflow menu onto the toolbar.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body   contains   places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
