Myspace blog message:
(Camino message)
The page at http://blog.myspace.com says:
Blog advanced editor can't run on your current browser/OS. Hit 'OK' to change to plain text blog editor.
Although Camino has always displayed the above message, I used to be able to edit my blog by choosing "cancel". In Camino 1.5, I can no longer successfully post and edit to my blog.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to your MySpace Blog account
2. Choose "Edit" (Here you have to choose cancel in order to edit which is also annoying but at least it was a work-around.)
3. Edit blog. When you get to the final "Post" step, you get an error message.
Actual Results:
You cannot successfully edit your MySpace blog
Expected Results:
The blog should "post"
It would be nice if Camino worked with MySpace blogging smoothly and as expected. Thank you.

If you spoof as Firefox with http://pimpmycamino.com/parts/user-agent does it work correctly? There may be a legitimate editor bug here that's causing them to block us, but it's at least as likely that it's just bad sniffing on their end.

WFM using Camino 1.5, following the above steps.

I'm pretty sure this is just bad sniffing of some sort. I get the same warning, by the way, when spoofing as Firefox using UserAgent.
You can also use plain-text mode by clicking "OK" in the warning just fine.

for instance.

What works for you? By WFM, do you mean that you were able to smoothly edit and post? As I stated, even with Camino 1.0, I had to employ the work-around. With 1.5. I could edit (clumsily and by applying the work-around), but I could not post.
And were you posting a new blog or editing an already created blog? Thanks

Those posts were all created from scratch.
If I go back to *edit* any of them, it doesn't seem to matter whether I spoof or not -- it simply doesn't work, and it's probably because MySpace is doing more in-depth browser checking than simple user-agent detection.

Since we're fairly certain this isn't a bug in Camino, I'm going to kick this over to TE so that we can put some pressure on MySpace to quit their craptastic browser sniffing.
