User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 Build Identifier: Bugzilla 3.0 When logged in as admin@test.com but sudoing as ba@test.com, who does not have access to editing a product, I tried to remove someone from the cc list, and received the following error, "User 'admin@icat.com' is not able to edit the Product for bug '4065'." Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Login with an account with sudo rights 2. Sudo as a different user 3. Try to remove a email from a cc list on a bug you do not have edit permission on with the sodo'ed user Actual Results: "User '<ORIGINAL LOGIN EMAIL>' is not able to edit the Product for bug '<BUGID>'." Expected Results: "User '<SUDOED LOGIN EMAIL>' is not able to edit the Product for bug '<BUGID>'."
(In reply to comment #0) > When logged in as admin@test.com ... > ... "User 'admin@icat.com' ... To start with, both email addresses are different. Are you sure about this?

Yes, the bug does in fact happen, I did type in the incorrect email address though, sorry.
This error message is due to the "strict isolation" feature and has nothing to do with sudo. The message complains about users who are already in place and which cannot edit bugs being in some given product. This message generally happens when you move the bug to another product. As you are removing users from the CC list, the name of the user being impersonated is not expected to appear.
