If no tabs are currently open, opening multiple URLs simultaneously from an external application opens each URL in a separate window. If Firefox has any number of tabs open, the multiple URLs open correctly in new tabs. This is a regression from Firefox 2. Not sure if Windows is effected. I've been sending multiple URLs to Firefox using the RSS reader Newsfire on OS X.
Could you give steps to reproduce?
Steps to reproduce: 1) download and install Newsfire on OS X (http://www.newsfirerss.com/) 2) subscribe to an RSS feed 3) close all Minefield windows 4) from a feed with many unread items in Newsfire, press shift-command-b to send all of the unread items' URLs to Minefield At this point you should have as many Minefield windows as there were unread stories. Expected behavior is a single window with them all loaded in tabs. There are probably many other ways to send multiple URLs to Minefield simultaneously, but unread stories in Newsfire is the first one that comes to mind.

I think this may be the same bug: 1) Enable profiles AND opening new windows as tabs 2) Quit Firefox 3) Click a URL to open Firefox; profile selection dialog appears 4) Click another URL outside of Firefox; weird collapsed (no content area) window with blank toolbars pops up 5) Select a profile; the weird collapsed window disappears, and the second URL you clicked is not opened after the main window appears.
(BTW, my browser is the latest nightly build [as of May 22] for OS X, on 10.4, with only Delicious Bookmarks 2.0.45 installed)
