This is tricky ( or not ) huh? okay, 

There is a link that says Original. And that is showed in the Web page when accessing Joey.mozilla service. The purpose of the original is to show to the Browser and the end-user the real bits? 

Or

Is to display the very original content so that the end-user can enjoy and preview the experience in the browser? If it this second case, then I believe we should:

[1] have a handler for every specific original type. 

for example:

[a] mp3 flash-based player
[b] video flash-based player (for FLV ) 
[c] preview ballom for txt
[d] etc. 

Maybe a temporary solution is to open an iframe.

So,

The origanal link is to get the actual raw bytes that we uploaded.  This might be hidden from the user at some point.  

When clicking on the preview of the upload, i think we should handle the specific type and your examples are all exactly right.
