Didn't SessionSaver do that? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Actually we do remember text - just not on pages transmitted over secure connections (for privacy reasons and such). To have Firefox always remember text data, either see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.sessionstore.privacy_level (set that pref to 0) or use an extension which exposes that pref in UI (such as Session Manager from https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2324 ). Should that not work for you, please add steps to reproduce (including URLs where text still isn't saved). That might then be bug 346337 you're hitting.
