Are you using a Limited User Account or an Administrator one?

I believe I am using a limited user account. I didn't choose one or the other explicitly though from what I can remember.

i'm sorry but a limited user account cannot install new software, you should ask to the computer administrator to install it for you Limited users cannot write to program files folder, so the installer will fail there

I misunderstood what you meant initially when referring to limited user vs administrator. I do have administrative rights on my PC, and am fully able to install anything on the machine.
