Related to Bug 378558, where because copy/paste transactions rely on querying the database in between using the item's ID, if the item is automatically removed via "cut" or deleted from the tree in the meantime, copy/paste is also broken.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open up the Bookmarks Manager

2. Select a bookmark and copy it

3. Delete the bookmark you selected

4. Try to paste the bookmark - nothing will happen.

Another way of seeing the effects of this bug is to change the title or description of the bookmark between copying and pasting. The pasted bookmark will show the changed attributes instead of what you had originally tried to copy.

both deleting and changing the copied item does not effect paste of the original copied item.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body   contains   places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
