The previous version of Lighting did not cause a crash (Crash started after automatic upgrade to Lighting)
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install Lighting 0.5 add on
2.Install BirdieSync 1.5.4.3
3.restart thunderbird
Actual Results:
Crash dump send vai feedback agent
Expected Results:
Started up normally

Workaround: Reinstall Birdie Sync after Lighting 0.5 install and everything seems to work...
Severity: critical → major

Update on the workaround. Evidently the combination still has issues: triggering a mail to link causes Thunderbird to report that it is running but not responding
disabling either program will allow mail-to to work. Subsequently re-enabling
the disabled program seems to fix the behavior.

See http://www.birdiesync.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=315 - 1.5.5.0 was apparently released yesterday for exactly this reason.

I don't think they've fully fixed it yet. I think I've installed 1.5.5.0 but I'm still having issues.

You think? Please have a look at the version numbers before filing new comments to that report. It also seems that is an calendar issue and not really Thunderbird related.
Can you give as the talkback id please? Have a look at http://kb.mozillazine.org/talkback. Thanks.

=> incomplete - but please reopen if you still see the problem. Or close invalid if you agree this was birdiesync's problem.
