In writing this bug I remembered the undo closed tab option, and was just shocked to find that the long email I had written to a friend and lost suddenly was miraculously retrieved. Hooray, but how many people brilliant enough to consider that option. The ctrl+w close tab needs re-designed. Your the absolute best! Thanks Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Write a masterpiece. 2. Sign your name Wilbur 3. Be born with a clumsy pinky finger.
Closing tabs is too common an action to not give it an easy-to-hit shortcut. Fixing this by changing the shortcut would make Firefox inconsistent with other Windows and Mac apps. I think this should be wontfixed in favor of bug 252646.
marking as invalid cause it's by design (internet explorer also uses CTRL+W to close tabs) as said bug 252646 is the correct way of thinking this
