Details

currently we convert / transcode media during the upload/add post.  This can be a lengthy process during which the user has to wait while this happens.  It would be nice to be able to doing this transcoding out of band so that the user will complete the upload/add, then at some point later, process the uploads.
I have the feeling this is going to turn into a requirement before the site can go live.
