38688 - Print Card View does not print as table not as card view is displayed

Using builds 2000-05-09 on win98, mac and linux the menu item in Address book 
lists as "Print Card View..."   The spec says the Card View is the bottom right 
pane of the Address Book window so I expected the printout to have the same look 
as the card view.  It prints out in table form listing the fields.  The spec 
needs to document what the printed Card View should look like.  If it's to be in 
table form, then this bug will be worksforme.   If it should look like the Card 
View of the 3-pane Address book window, then please document this and assign the 
bug to rhp.  

1. Launch Messenger
2. Open your Address book and select a card (one that has some field filled in 
and must have an email address (per bug 11366).
3. Select File|Print Card View...
4. Pick up the printed card and notice it prints all the date in a basic form.

Yes, it would be nice if printing an Address Book has some nice formatting and 
looked more like the card in the 3rd pane.  

Assign to selmer and cc kmurray to evaluate if we have time to do this for 
Netscape 6. If it is decided that we can do this, we can agree on specifics.

We're going to have to be happy with the fact that it prints at all for now.
I'll leave this on M18 so it has a second chance, but I doubt that it'll make
the cut.

Printing a card is now basically working. When it prints it just lists the data 
on separate lines. How should it look?

Ninoschka, if I understand correctly, when you print out the address card, it
should look like the view shown in the preview pane of the address book: A dark
& bolded title that says "Card for Userlast, Userfirst", sections divided by
color/lined and bolded titles (as seen in the "other" or "phone" or "work"
sections), etc.

I would hope that you would get a similar printout for "print addressbook" as well.

MS Outlook further allows (mandates?) the multiple-address printout in two
columns because that cuts down the width ratio closer to what the user sees in
the address book (since the left side is often taken by the address book
selection pane).  Is this part of (or at least compatible with) the view spec?
