text in search box in bookmark manager doesn't update until I switch folders steps to reproduce: 1) select folder X 2) using the tiny drop down in the search box, change from "all bookmarks" to "current collection" text in the search box says: "Search in Bookmarks" and it should say "Search in 'X'" Note, it will search the right thing, and the text will show the right thing if you click into the text box and then click the tree again.

Seth, a related question. Should "Search in'X'" appear by selecting a folder under "Showing Bookmarks", in addition to the left pane tree?

I am not sure how much this bug and bug 387037 have in common, but I was able to fix this bug by just moving around syncGrayText().

No, I don't think so. The selection in the right pane are the results, where the selection in the left pane is the collection we are searching (or "all")

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
