Changed the summary a bit and also changing component to General (as I think it is not related to software update but to some adware).

I realized that the problem only shows up for Yahoo URL (my default start page: http://www.excite.com/my.jsp

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.13 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
