I would suggest to add optional geotagging to events and tasks. Hence, these could be linked to internal or external map applications/services. However, I don't know how this could fit with present standard formats such as iCalendar.
Maybe codified within <a href='http://www.kanzaki.com/docs/ical/location.html'>LOCATION property</a>.
This would be nice. So if the user sets his own geolocation, the distance could be calculated - this would be helpful for creating an alarm time for appointments.
I would really like such a functionality in Lightning/Sunbird. However such a feature would certainly only appeal to a small number of people and would therefore be better suited for an extension than for inclusion into the main application. Marking WONTFIX.
