Please make Thunderbird/Lightning remember two different widths of the left pane -- one for mail mode and one for calendar mode. This is a followup to Bug 387294.

My mailbox names (in mail mode) are much wider than my calendar names (in
calendar mode). Such an enhancement would allow me to show more detail in the
month view by making the left pane narrower in calendar mode.

Reproducible: Always
Confirmed with Lightning 0.7pre (2007080404) on WinXP. This is a reasonable request to optimize user experience.

Summary: Width of left pane -- different for mail mode and calendar mode → Mode switch: Width of left pane different for mail and calendar mode
Requesting "Wanted 0.9" flag because bug 389150 (today pane in cal/task modes) has further reduced the available width (for example in month view) and it would be nice if we could reduce the width of the calendar list in cal/task modes without affecting the width of the folder pane in mail mode.
Flags: wanted-calendar0.9?
Summary: Mode switch: Width of left pane different for mail and calendar mode → Independent width of left pane in Mail/Calendar/Task modes
Flags: wanted-calendar0.9? → wanted-calendar0.9-
This is fixed, I guess by another bug. Very nice, thanks!

I noticed that the same width setting is shared between the Calendar tab and the Tasks tab. That's fine with me, but someone can re-open the bug if they want them to also be independent.
