I often need to copy my bookmark url, to paste in a page, in bugzilla, in a chat... i need to open bookmark properties and copy url, then close. It could be good to have a "copy url" context menu entry as on webpage links, to quickly copy and paste a bookmark url Have not find any dupe PS: don't know if this request should stay in bookmarks or in places
Bug 324412 and bug 234111, though they both failed to note the edge case where your paste target accepts HTML, and you wind up pasting a link including your bookmark title, when you wanted to just paste the URL as text.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv

well, in the end it's easy to just paste to a text editor, and copy just the url, not worth the additional menu cruft
