see this only w/the linux (xul) filepicker. tested using comm bits
2000.05.10.09. very easy to see: select File > Open File... the tree in the
picker is blank. it should list the files/dirs of the install directory [by
default].
however, after entering a path (eg, /u/pavlov/) in the textfield, the tree does
display.
