Build Identifier: 2.0.0.0 (20070326)

I have downloaded the (full?) updatemore than once and closed other programs, but it always fails to install.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Download
2.Close other applications
3.Install
Actual Results:
Get message failed to install
In what way does it fail? Do you get an error message and what does it say?
I click on help:

"An update for Thunderbird is avaiable:
Thunderbird 2.0.0.4
It is strongly...."

I click on Download and Install...595kb, I think, and get the message:

"The update was successfully downloaded and verified..."

I click Restart Thunderbird Now. And get the message:

"One of more files could not be updated. Please make sure other applications

are closed and you have permission.....

I do so and click on try again.

"The partial update could not be applied."Thunderbird will try again by

downloading a complete update."

Downloads 8.0 MB

"The update was successfully downloaded and verified..."

I click Restart Thunderbird Now. And get the message:

"One of more files could not be updated. Please make sure other applications

are closed and you have permission....."

(I have MacAfee installed and give it permission to continue each

installation attempt.)
Could be bug 340535, if you have some logitech software installed, make sure it's really not running.
I started Task Manager, shut down the Logitech Quickcam, and the update completed O.K! :-)

Thanks for the help!
