I have an unmovable bar of blank space at the bottom of the Firefox screen below the "done/locked" bar (I'm not sure what to call it) at the very bottom and it contains the right hand corner that expands/contracts the size of the screen. The function that exp/con's still functions. There is also a red "^" that appeared on the left of this blank space at the same time. I have reloaded Firefox from the internet, and it has remained on the bottom of my screen. It does not appear on other browsers that I open (Safari, Explorer). It does not interfere with other functions, but is impeding visual operation.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.open Firefox
Actual Results:
1. open Firefox, and the bottom bar with expand/contract corner is approx 2.6 cm high with red "^" on extreme left
Expected Results:
open Firefox, and should have had the very bottom of the bar with expand/contract corner be approx 1cm high

Same problem here also... the loading/transfer data with the green loading bar is an inch up. THen half way through that is the red "^".
Also when this started my bookmarks disappeared from the pulldown menu. I have to go to organize bookmarks, after that my pulldown menu works.

I have uninstalled Yoono to no avail (this was installed just prior to the bug). The bar remains. I've also restarted the computer several times, but no luck here, either. As it takes up about 13-15% of the vertical image space, it's a bit of a "bother" in EEMilne's words. Otherwise, the link did give me hope...

Could you try closing firefox, making sure no firefox.exe is listed in the task manager, finding your firefox profile folder ( http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile ) and then deleting: extensions.rdf extensions.ini and extensions.cache and then starting firefox up? (Don't worry, the files you delete will be regenerated when firefox starts back up)
i had to restart to get firefox back up. i had to get rid of the file that the mybar put on.

You should be able to fix this by following Steve's instructions and/or with the information in the link he provided.
FWIW, in Firefox 3, this gray bar won't display if extensions break chrome.
Marking as INVALID, since this problem is due to a bad extension/theme.
