When a feed is subscribed to using the orange feed icon to the right hand side of the address bar its contents do not load until "Reload Live Bookmark" is selected from the context menu brought up by a right hand mouse button click.

Until "Reload live bookmark" is selected the feed shows a greyed out "(Empty)"

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit a page with a linked RSS feed
2. Click orange feed icon on right hand side of address bar.
3. Keep default suggested name and subscribe in bookmarks toolbar folder
4. Click on live bookmark in the bookmarks toolbar
Actual Results:  
feed shows as "(Empty)" until manually reloaded

Expected Results:  
on subscribe a list of feeds should have been retrieved and displayed, and "Live Bookmark loading" displayed until the list of feeds has been retrieved.

WORKAROUND:

right click and select "Reload Live Bookmark", this will load list of feeds.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body   contains   places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
