Debian 4.0 Etch with a couple (likely irrelevant) packages from Lenny.
The gnome-session package is 2.14.3-5.

When running a Gecko trunk (Fx, Tb, Sm) build from today as a user different than the one X is running as, with “xhost +local:”, the following message appears a few times during the session:

(Gecko:28710): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager:
Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed.

Looks like it's been caused by the fix of bug 93789.

Bug 93789 is the only way this can occur, but there's not much that can be done about it.
