User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.5) Gecko/20070713 Firefox/2.0.0.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.5) Gecko/20070713 Firefox/2.0.0.5 I log into webmail at nwlink.com. There is no mail to be seen in FF 2.0.0.4 or .5. If I log into webmail with NS 9.0b1, the mail can be seen. Tech Support at nwlink.com cannot duplicate this malfunction. I have cleared private data without effect. I have FF installed on two machines, one running W98SE and both have this same problem Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual Results: I don't think you can reproduce it.
Did you also test this in Firefox's safe-mode or with a new profile? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode_(Firefox) http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Folder
It turned out not to be a profile or safe mode. I was loging in with my user name but not including the full mail server domain name. So, if I loged in as Muser plus a password, I could get in but not see any messages. But if I logged in as Muser@mail.com plus a passoword, I could see the msg. I checked my NScape and found the login used the complete phrase. With my ISP, sometimes but not always this has been an issue over the 15 years I've been with them. Thanks to Ria for the suggestion.
