User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 Lately I've been browsing (currently I have http://svnbook.red-bean.com/ and google.com open), and occasionally a dialog will pop up called Website Certified by an Unknown Authority. In this case the "authority" cited is rubyredrabbit.com. Well, since I don't know what this is I'd rather not choose "yes" here. The options are: * Yes * Yes for my whole session * No However, on choosing "No", the dialog pops up again every 10 mins or so. I'd like to be able to say "No for my whole session", as well as "never ever at all thank you". What do you think? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Visit a site certified by an unknown authority
I think that given the existing dialog UI, adding a "Never" option would make the dialog more complex and usually wouldn't make sense. It would be better for you to figure out why you're getting these popups while you're browsing unrelated sites. Do you have a microsummary bookmark pointing at https://www.rubyredrabbit.com/ or something? It sounds like these dialogs are going away entirely in Firefox 3. See bug 327181.
Steve, are you still seeing a problem like this after upgrading to Firefox 3?
