Firefox can't resolve that page, even when networking.enableIDN is set to false

When I go to about:config to disable the IDN conversion to access the web page (link found on http://pi.cr.yp.to), then Firefox says that it can't resolve the name. If I open a shell and type 'dig π.cr.yp.to', then I have no trouble resolving the name on the same machine.
