It would be very usefull, and as Ian Thomas says - either implement it or remove
the column.

I'm sure it's not too hard to get the message count for newsgroups all on the
same server - just do a GROUP command for each group, and estimate the rest :)

Just noticed that in Mozilla 1.3a (20021212) the Message Count column is not
present any more. There is, however, still the unused progress bar just above
the Ok/Cancel buttons for showing the progress of this as yet unimplemented
operation.

Is anyone actually interested in this any more? I know I liked it in NS4.
