Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070723 Firefox/2.0.0.6 ID:2007072301 STR: - Use a System where no profile for Firefox exists - Start Firefox - Migration Wizard comes up - Select no Migration - Autocomplete Box under Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> "Remember what i enter in forms and search bar" is checked - Delete your profiles again - Start Firefox - Migration Wizard comes up - Select Migration from IE - Auto complete Box under Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> "Remember what i enter in forms and search bar" is unchecked I think the Option should be active like on other plattforms like mac.
Isn't this dependent on what autocomplete setting IE? Afaik, Firefox's migration wizard takes over these settings, so if you have autocomplete disabled for IE, Firefox will also have autocomplete disabled.
I agree with what Martijn has commented. Provided the "Preferences" box has been selected for migration, any of a particular users' IE settings that have a Firefox equivalent should be migrated over to Firefox. So if autocomplete is enabled in IE, upon migration, it should be enabled in Firefox. If autocomplete is disabled in IE, upon migration, it should be disabled in Firefox. Perhaps I am wrong?
as explained in comment 1 and 2, when you import settings from IE, the form suggest setting is imported, and so comment 0 is expected behavior if it's disabled in IE.
