Thunderbird 2 still not released for Hebrew users. Actually, it was scheduled for 2.0.0.5, but was removed due to the last security issues. We are on our way to 2.0.0.6 but it looks that we still won't be able to ship it. Is it possible to do release 2.0.0.6 days after the official release?

I looked through the source, and there seem to be no changes affecting the stuff listed on http://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Thunderbird_Trademark_Review. Waiting on dependencies of this bug to clear up.
Another note, could you indicate how much testing you had on nightlies, and on which platforms? It might be a good idea to go through some litmus tests, http://litmus.mozilla.org/search_results.cgi?order_by_created=&order_by_testcase_id=&order_by_email=&order_by_product=&order_by_platform=&order_by_branch=&order_by_locale=&timespan=&summary=&email=&product=3&platform=&branch=12&locale=he&limit=15 is currently empty. There are 12 tests to run, for each platform hopefully, you can find those by going to the Thunderbird 2.0 catch all run, adding your details and then selecting the l10n tests.
We have been tested those builds under win32 and linux environments, and made our feedbacks available on litmus. Removing bug 389531 from the dependencies par Axel request. It would be nice to get it fixed, but should not block the release.

Well, we are months after the release of Thunderbird 2.0, and still there is no Hebrew version. There are users whose waiting for this, and disappoints again every minor version release as Hebrew is still not not available. Should I request marking this bug as blocking Tb2?

Here are my comments after a brief period of testing Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; he; rv:1.8.1.8pre) Gecko/20071008 Thunderbird/2.0.0.7pre ID:2007100803. 1. Search bar not rendering correctly. See attached screenshot. The spyglass is outside of the search box and there is a strange circular object present. 2. Overglow on the folder widget. Screenshot attached. I also saw some strange layout issues where the everything seemed to be right justified. I am not sure if that is expected or not. I will spend some additional time looking at, but at least here are some things to start.
1. I can't reproduce the spyglass issue. 2. There is no overglow at all in non-mac builds, but the same widget ("Show") has other display issues in Linux. Screenshot attached. As for the other "strange layout issues" - they are known, and made due to XUL limitation with RTL trees, IIRC. tb2.0.0.7pre/Linux

So, the mac search box thing is likely due to a slightly different mac theme compared to other platforms and needs either an intl.css hack or some xul goodness. To me, that blocks Thunderbird Hebrew on the Mac. Could we get separate bug on that? I'd split shipping mac from windows/linux, get the two into separate bugs and take it from there, how does that sound?
Summary: [he] ship Thunderbird 2.0.0.7 → [he] ship Thunderbird
+1 from me
Bug 399193 is the spinoff bug for the search box issue on Mac. IMO we should ship Win and Linux if they look ok, and hold off on Mac.
Depends on: tb20-he-mac
Depends on: tb20-he-winlinux
Can someone please update me on the current situation here?
The latest update is in bug 399193 comment 21.
