I don't have the problem with IE, though I don't use IE often, just to test the problem. It has happened to me on other computers also using windows xp. I even get it when I type it in Word and copy/paste into the password box, so I know it's not an idiot operator/fat finger error. It ceased for about a month when I switched over to windows live hotmail, but recently has started again with that program. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.go to hotmail 2.enter login info and password 3. Actual Results: "The e-mail address or password is incorrect. Please try again." ... Bang my head on my desk. Expected Results: enter my email account. ... Smile as my computer doesn't aggravate me.
This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.x or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
