User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 After some of the upgrades unsure if it's 2.005 or 2.004 have noticed that if i have lots of tabs opened and after pc comes from hibernation, firefox seem to be incapable of resolving those websites or new ones without me having to close it completely and restart firefox. I don't believe this is a problem with router or my dns server cos internet explorer works fine. The pages would just be saying loading and will never completely load and after a while(long time 5mins+) i finally get page cannot be found(normal dns error). The only i can take care of this is to open a brand new firefox after making sure the previous one and all it's tabs are closed . This seem to happen after several hibernation sessions. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.hibernate pc 2.several sessions of hibernation 3. Actual Results: page loading but never successful Expected Results: load the pages or reload the tabs after coming out of hibernation load the pages or reload the tabs after coming out of hibernation, instead of trying to load the pages 4ever and finally been unsuccessful
See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Flash#Delay_or_hang_waking_from_standby If updating the flash plugin solves the problem for you, you can resolve this bug as a duplicate of Bug 265172 (no idea why this bug was resolved FIXED because there was no patch in this bug and hence no change in the Firefox code).
This seems to be a duplicate of 411258. My flash player is up to date, so this does not seem to be the cause of the problem.
What does "netstat -b -o" say when problem occurs? (See Bug 411258 Comment #1 & Bug 411258 Comment #3.) Restart of Firefox is a effective recovery procedure?
shaka?
