Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9a7pre) Gecko/2007073105 Minefield/3.0a7pre ID:2007073105

1. New profile, start firefox
2. In your IRC client, write: www.df.hangame.com and hit enter
3. Click on the link you just wrote in IRC

Expected:
Page loads or an error page is displayed

Actual:
Page finishes loading, but is totally blank. It's the grey colour like an error message page but without the error message in the middle. If you do View > Page Source, I get the error ("Server not found. Firefox can't find the server at .")

If you copy & paste the url from IRC into the firefox location bar, the error page is shown as expected ("Server not found. Firefox can't find the server at www.df.hangame.com. <etc>")

This works on the branch (2.0.0.6)
Confirm, this happens not only on orphan-link in IRC clents, also in IM clients (Pidgin) and on orphan-links typed in command line
Tested on WinXp sp2
Works: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9a7pre) Gecko/2007071105 Minefield/3.0a7pre
Broken: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9a7pre) Gecko/2007071205 Minefield/3.0a7pre

Checkins to module PhoenixTinderbox between 2007-07-11 04:00 and 2007-07-12 06:00

Also note, once you have a tab with no error message in, it's basically dead. If you enter an URL in the location bar and hit enter, nothing happens.
Flags: blocking1.9?

OK. This bug has a different regression range to bug 388579 but I'll keep an eye on it and retest when 388579 lands.
